Katghora . A horrific road accident has occurred in Korba district. A speeding Thar hit three people riding a bike hard. The bike driver came under the wheels of a speeding trailer coming from the opposite direction. The bike driver died on the spot in the accident. While the other person riding the bike was seriously injured and a 6-year-old girl suffered minor injuries. This case is of Katghora police station area.
According to the information, this horrific road accident took place near Godma Nala near Jenjra on Katghora-Korba road today at around 11:30 am. After the accident, the Thar driver who caused the accident fled from the spot with the vehicle and the trailer was stopped there. After the incident, a crowd of local pedestrians gathered and vehicles got jammed. Local people immediately informed the incident at Katghora police station. Where Katghora police reached the spot and 108 vehicles immediately took the injured to Katghora Community Health Centre. The body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem after Panchnama was done. It is being told that the deceased and injured are residents of NTPC Jamnipali Pali. At present, the police have registered the case and taken the trailer into their custody and have started searching for the Thar vehicle that caused the accident.
