Raipur, fine of Rs 20,000 on scrap dealer. This action took place on Friday in the ward of Mayor Aijaz Dhebar. Raipur Corporation officers arrived with 3 bulldozers to clear the old encroachment. They vacated the 10 year old illegal land by running a bulldozer on it. Apart from this, the corporation imposed a fine of Rs 20 thousand on a scrap shop in Jora.

This action took place near Kalibari Chowk, where 450 square feet of land adjacent to the Government Forest Residential Complex was captured. However, during the action, the encroacher has also claimed that the land is his own. Four permanent shops were also built on this land. When the corporation officials reached there, they started arguing. After this, the officers of the corporation took the help of the police and the Tehsildar. The Tehsildar’s investigation revealed that it was government land.

During the action, the revenue staff also investigated the case under the leadership of Tehsildar. During investigation, this land was found to be of Government Nazul. After which the demolition squad of the corporation demolished the pucca shops and freed the land from encroachment. During this action, the corporation staff also had to face opposition from some occupants. Fine of Rs 20 thousand on scrap shop.

Apart from Kalibari Chowk, Raipur Municipal Corporation also took action near Maudhapara, Dental College, Medical Complex of Zone 2 on Friday. Along with this, action was also taken against the roadside carts and kiosks near Sunder Nagar Chowk, around Anupam Garden on GE Road in Zone 5.

Apart from this, action has been taken at Adarsh Chowk, Hirapur main road of Kabir Nagar in Zone 8. Illegal temporary construction on the roadside was freed from encroachment. At the same time, a fine of Rs 20 thousand was also imposed on a scrap shop in Jora for blocking the road. The first action was taken in Raipur on 5th December, after which on 8th December, illegal constructions were razed in different areas for the fourth consecutive day.

On December 5, Chowpatty was removed in Motibagh, near Salem School where more than 35 handcarts were removed. The same night action was taken in GE Road. 40 illegal carts were removed here.
On December 6, the encroachment on government land in Vidhan Sabha Road was removed. Bulldozers ran on 3 shops here. 57 illegal carts and kiosks were removed near Science College. Illegal platforms were demolished near Bakra Market.
On December 7, illegal shops set up near Anupam Garden were removed. Action was taken against illegal roadside shops in Bharat Mata Chowk, Ashok Nagar. Action was taken against more than 60 illegal constructions at different places.
