During the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Bahujan Samaj Party and Gondwana Gantantra Party had contested the elections in alliance, but this Lok Sabha election they have broken their alliance. Both the parties will field their candidates on the Lok Sabha seats.

In Chhattisgarh, Bahujan Samaj Party has announced its candidates for two seats. Aaytu Ram Mandvi has been fielded from Bastar Lok Sabha seat, while Dr. Rohit Kumar Dahria has been made the candidate from Janjgir-Champa Lok Sabha seat.

BSP broke the alliance

National General Secretary of Gondwana Gantantra Party Shyam Singh Markam told Dainik Bhaskar that the alliance of Bahujan Samaj Party has been broken. We also wanted to contest the Lok Sabha elections with the alliance, but the National Organization Committee of the Bahujan Samaj Party believes that contesting the elections in the alliance reduces their votes.

Therefore BSP supremo Mayawati has broken the alliance with Gondwana Republic Party. GGP will now contest independent elections in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Will field candidates on all seats

National General Secretary of Gondwana Republic Party, Shyam Singh Markam said that we will field our candidates in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. We have announced the names of candidates for 10 seats of MP. Soon we will announce the names of the candidates in Chhattisgarh also.

BSP officials are avoiding answering

When Dainik Bhaskar talked to former state president of Bahujan Samaj Party Chhattisgarh Hemant Poyam about breaking the alliance, he avoided the issue and did not give a clear answer, avoided the questions.

BSP did not get a single seat in the 2023 assembly elections.

After the formation of Chhattisgarh state, in the four assembly elections held in the state, one to two MLAs of Bahujan Samaj Party reached the House, but not a single candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party got victory in the assembly elections of the year 2023.

In the 2023 elections, Bahujan Samaj Party and Gondwana Gantantra Party formed an alliance. Gondwana Gantantra Party won one seat, but BSP could not open its account. At the same time, in the 2018 assembly elections, BSP and Jogi Congress had jointly contested the elections, in which Bahujan Samaj Party had won two seats. Jogi had won 5 Congress MLAs.
