In March, the Enforcement Directorate team raided Dhebar’s house and office. Last night the ED team raided a hotel in Raipur. Dhebar was called there for questioning. After this, ED arrested Dhebar after getting some strong evidence.
Dhebar was produced in the Raipur court on Saturday afternoon. ED has demanded remand by presenting Dhebar in the court of Judge Ajay Singh. Presently the hearing is going on. ED sources said that some businessmen of the city, in connivance with the officials of the Excise Department, made illegal earnings from liquor and did money laundering. The investigation of this matter is going on. This episode is different from the Cole case that surfaced last year.
