Said in manifesto- Will take action against those who spread hatred in the name of religion
Bangalore 2 May 2023, After BJP, Congress has also announced its manifesto for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The Congress party has promised to ban organizations like Bajrang Dal if it forms the government. Referring to the PFI, the party said – action will be taken against those who spread hatred in the name of religion. The Congress has announced to give 200 units of free electricity to every family, Rs 2,000 per month to every female head of the family.
The party has also made announcements to woo the youth voters. Under this, it has been announced to give Rs 3,000 per month to unemployed graduates and Rs 1,500 per month to diploma holders for two years. Apart from this, women have also been promised free travel in state government buses.
Major points of the Congress manifesto for the Karnataka assembly elections.
- Under Griha Jyoti, Congress will provide free electricity up to 200 units to all households in Karnataka.
- The Congress has promised ₹2,000 to each female head of the household.
- Each person in a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family will get 10 kg of food grains per month.
- ₹3,000 per month will be provided to unemployed graduates and ₹1,500 to unemployed diploma holders under Yuva Nidhi.
- Congress has promised to provide free travel to all women across the state in regular KSRTC/BMTC buses.
- Promised to give a special allowance of Rs 5000 to the policemen doing night duty.
- Every year 500 liters of tax free diesel will be given for fishing in the sea.
- Promise to start the work within 90 days, complete the work within the time specified in the contract and settle the bills of the contractors within the time limit of the contract.
- Promise to create 1000 crore Senior Citizen Welfare Fund.
- Five thousand women entrepreneurs will be supported.
- Congress has promised to regularize 25 thousand civic workers in the manifesto.
- Each supplementary worker will be insured up to 10 lakhs.
- Milk subsidy will be increased from Rs.5 to Rs.7.
- Loans up to one lakh rupees will be waived off for farmers for sheep and goats.

- A high-level committee will be formed to implement the Uniform Civil Code law in the state.
- Ten lakh homeless people of the state will be given houses to live in.

- Government schools will be upgraded as per world class norms.
- Free health checkup facility will be provided every year for senior citizens.
- Rs 1500 crore will be given for the development of Kalyan Circuit, Banvasi Circuit, Parshuram Circuit, Kaveri Circuit, Gangapura Circuit.
- Promised to provide five lakh houses for the urban poor.
- Atal Aahar Kendra will open for free food.
- Reservation for Vokkaligas and Lingayats will be increased by two percent each.
- Free bus pass will be available for three lakh women.
- Betta Kurba, Siddi, Talwara and Parivara communities will be included in the tribal list.
- PFI and other Jihadi organizations will be banned.
- NRC will be implemented in Karnataka and illegal refugees will be deported.
- 25 thousand rupees help to poor families for going to Dev Yatra Tirupati, Ayodhya, Kashi, Rameshwaram, Kolhapur, Sabarimala and Kedarnath.
- A committee will be formed to give full autonomy to the administration of temples and a state capital region will be established in the state capital Bengaluru.
30 thousand crore fund for farmers
Apart from this, the party has promised a fund of Rs 30,000 crore for farmers to set up micro cold storage facilities, agro-processing units in every gram panchayat and modernization of agricultural produce committees.
