RaipurMay 26, 2023   While strengthening and expanding the Passenger Welfare Association (Yatri Kalyan Sangh) in all the states and union territories of India, Gangesh Kumar Dwivedi has been appointed as state patron and Shiv Dutta as Raipur district president in Chhattisgarh state. On the other hand, Vidya Bhushan Sinha has been appointed as the District General Secretary of Yatri Kalyan Sangh Raipur and Rakesh Nishad as the Vice President. This nomination has been made on the instructions of National President of Passenger Welfare Association (Yatri Kalyan Sangh) Alok Nath Tiwari and in consultation with State President Shravan Yadu.
Union’s Chhattisgarh President Shravan Yadu congratulated the newly appointed office bearers on behalf of the Passenger Welfare Association, Yatri Kalyan Sangh (India) family. Mr. Yadu said that the Passenger Welfare Association will soon expand its presence in Chhattisgarh. By forming a committee at the district and block level, this organization will work with full dedication and devotion for the benefit of passengers traveling in rail, bus or any other public transport.
Newly appointed State Patron Gangesh Dwivedi said that it is continuously being seen that despite paying full fare, adequate facilities are not being provided to the passengers whether it is rail transport, bus transport or local means. Many times passengers are not given seats to sit in trains and buses etc. operating on many routes of the state. Staff misbehaves on objecting to this. Despite the fixed route and time, the passengers have to become victims of the arbitrariness of the transport operators or staff. Mr. Dwivedi has assured that now his Sangh will not tolerate such arbitrariness. In this matter, discussion will soon be held with Railway Zone Management Bilaspur, Divisional Management Raipur and a memorandum will be submitted to remove the inconvenience caused to the passengers in the trains. At the same time, discussions will be held with the Minister and officers of the Transport Department regarding the passenger facilities in the buses operating in the state. At the same time, a meeting will be held with Bus Operators Association, Auto, Mini Transport Association to ensure passenger facilities.
Newly appointed Raipur District President Shiv Dutta clearly said that to ensure adequate facilities for passengers in city bus, auto, taxi, cab etc. operating between Raipur Rajdhani and Nava Raipur, they will hold a meeting with organizations associated with them. If needed, the Sangh will not back down from fighting for the interests of passengers at all levels.
