Bike rider dies due to collision with car: Blockade by keeping dead body in front of hospital

An unknown car driver hit a bike rider on Saturday night in Lailunga assembly of Raigarh district. The person was seriously injured in the accident. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment. Angry family members are blocking the road and demanding compensation of Rs 5 lakh.

According to the information received, Ramkumar Bhagat, a resident of village Khusramuda, a dependent of village Subra, was coming from Pathalgaon at around 7 pm on Saturday evening, when Ramkumar Bhagat was hit hard by a car near Mayaram petrol pump, and he died during treatment.

Demand for compensation of Rs 5 lakh

After the accident, the family members and BJYM blocked the road by placing the dead body in front of Lailunga Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Demanded arrest of the accused driver. Demanded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family members.

Villagers adamant on their demands

Due to traffic jam, long queues of vehicles have formed on both sides of the road. As soon as information about this incident was received, administrative officials reached the spot. Efforts were made to give advice to the protesters, but they remained adamant on their demands.
