Bilaspur. The candidates for BED degree teacher recruitment have got a big blow from the High Court. In its important decision, the High Court has ordered to cancel the appointment of BED candidates in the Assistant Teacher recruitment process. Also, the state government has been asked to give a chance to the D.El.Ed candidates by releasing the revised selection list within six weeks. After this order, now the claim of BED pass candidates in the recruitment of Assistant Teacher has ended. Let us tell you that the Division Bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha had reserved the decision in this case on February 29, on which order has now been issued. The High Court has made it clear that only D.Ed pass candidates will be considered for primary teachers. The court has also directed that by canceling the appointments of BED passed assistant teachers who have already joined, only D.El.Ed pass candidates should be appointed within 6 weeks. The court has given instructions to prepare a revised selection list by including D.El.Ed candidates. Let us inform you that the state government had issued the recruitment advertisement of assistant teachers on 4 May 2023. Under this, B.Ed qualified along with D.El.Ed were also considered eligible to apply for the recruitment of assistant teacher. D.El.Ed passed teachers challenged the service recruitment rules and advertisement on the ground that as per the decision of the Supreme Court, B.Ed is invalid for primary teachers. Only D.El.Ed is valid for assistant teachers. After hearing the case, the High Court banned the counseling of B.Ed. candidates, which the candidates challenged in the Supreme Court. On this, the Supreme Court stayed the decision of the High Court and directed to give interim appointment to the B.Ed teachers, but kept their appointment subject to the final decision of the case pending in the High Court. The final hearing in the case took place on 29 February 2024, after which the High Court reserved the decision.
Today, on April 2, 2024, the decision was given, in which the appointment of the B.Ed qualified holder has been canceled considering him ineligible. Also directed to prepare a revised selection list of DL qualified candidates within 6 weeks.
