Bhopal, 05 April, 2020, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that good arrangements should be ensured in all districts for treatment of Corona. People should be made aware to strictly follow social distancing to prevent spread of the infection. Testing should be done in case of even the slightest symptoms of Corona. Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani medicines should also be distributed free of cost in rural and urban areas to increase immunity. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements made for Corona in the state through video conferencing today.

Adequate arrangement of Corona testing

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains informed that adequate Corona testing kits are available in the state. Currently we have 20 thousand I.T.P.C.Rs.. Our testing capacity is 500 tests per day in 6 labs. The Chief Minister directed that this capacity is to be increased to 1,000 tests per day in 14 labs. At present there are 29,795 PPE kits in the state and we are in a position to distribute 5000 PPE kits daily. These kits are being delivered to the divisional headquarters. The number of hydro chloroquine tablets is 2 lakh 25 thousand. While 10 lakh tablets will be available in the next four days. Today there are one lakh 14 thousand out of which 50 thousand N-95 masks will be distributed. At present 3,324 oxygen cylinders are available, and orders for 1,000 have been placed.

Ensure arrangements in new identified areas

The Chief Minister directed that all arrangements should be made in newly identified with corona Morena, Chhindwara and Khargone. The Chief Minister said that apart from Health Department, employees of other departments, who are directly involved in Corona work, should also be given PPE kits. The Chief Minister directed that people who have been kept in Quarantine should have good arrangements. They should have no problem with food etc. Patients who have been found positive should be provided with the best treatment. The Chief Secretary informed that currently 13,895 persons have been placed in home quarantine and 400 persons have been quarantined separately in the state.

Proper arrangement of food, etc. for labourers

The Chief Minister directed that there should be good arrangements of food etc must be made for the workers returning from outside the state and those trapped in other regions of the state. It was informed that about 5 lakh labourers of the state have returned from work from outside. Out of these, 13,750 labourers have undergone health examination. The workers returning from outside the state are being tested at the check post with Thermal Scanners and by Rapid Response Teams.

Strong action against mischievous elements

The Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that peace and order is maintained in all the districts. Strict action must be taken against mischievous elements. Meetings of religious leaders and social organizations have been organized at the district and police station level. The situation is peaceful in all the districts. The Chief Minister directed that the staff engaged in the duty of Corona should be taken care of. Transportation arrangements should be made for nurses on duty.

Arrange funds in the village itself

The Chief Minister directed that the Gareeb Kalyan package of the Prime Minister should be properly implemented. The state government has added amount to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries must not face any difficulty in withdrawing money from the bank and there should be no unnecessary crowd. As far as possible, arrangements should be made to provide amount in the village itself.

Private hospitals must not refuse general treatment

The Chief Minister directed that patients visiting government hospitals for general ailments should not face any inconvenience, there should not be any crowd there and they should get proper treatment. The Chief Minister directed that private hospitals should not refuse treatment for common ailments, otherwise action will be taken against them. Students who have become medical graduates will also be able to offer their services in local government hospitals.

Prompt resolution of complaints

Commissioner Public Relations Shri P. Narhari said that 6,700 comments were received on the Chief Minister’s Twitter and Facebook account recently and all have been answered. Principal Secretary Food and Civil Supplies Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that 1755 complaints were received on Food Helpline recently. Two thousand people have been given food. Apart from this, food has been distributed to 4 lakh 28 thousand persons and ration to 56,500 persons. There are 21 thousand labourers of Madhya Pradesh outside the state, who are being provided with food and food items. There are 15 thousand labourers in our state of other states, who are also being provided shelter and ration.

Mask, sanitizer should not be black marketed

The Chief Minister directed that the rates of masks, sanitizers and food items have been fixed by the government, they should not be black marketed. Secretary Ayush Dr. M.K. Agarwal informed that Ayurvedic, Homeopathy and Unani medicines have been distributed free of cost to one lakh 64 thousand persons in rural areas and 35 thousand in urban areas.
