Along with this, the Bhopal Smart City has also bagged award for Smart Pole and Street Lights under the Best Public-Private Partnership Initiative category and Bhopal Living Labs under the Best Startup Initiative by a Smart City category. These awards have been conferred by the ETGovernment.com under the Global Smart City Award-2019. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh has been honoured with the Best Smart State Award. These awards were received by the Minister for Urban Development and Housing Shri Jaivardhan Singh and Chief Executive Officer of Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Shri Deepak Singh.
The Gwalior Smart City has bagged award for the Best Smart Parking under the Best Smart Parking Initiative category. It may be mentioned that the Bhopal Smart City Company has transformed the 20 thousand traditional lights in the city into smart lights. All these lights have been connected to the Command and Control centre. Moreover, the first incubation centre of the country has been made by the Smart City Company in Bhopal for startups. This centre has a capacity of 50 startups. These startups are facilitated by the company for various services and facilities.
