Raipur, 13 August 2023. Â Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ organized at Khokhra in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh today, said that today the trust conference is being held here because the trust Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and his government has given you. He showed it by completing what he had given. The Government of Chhattisgarh is fearlessly working to fulfill its resolve to uplift the poor, laborers and weaker sections. Today every citizen here is satisfied.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, while addressing the ‘Bharose Ke Sammelan’, said that the medical college to be built in Janjgir-Champa will be named after the first woman MP, Minimata. His constituency has been Janjgir-Champa. A medical college will be built here on 25 acres. In his speech in Chhattisgarhi, he said that even in adverse circumstances, we have fulfilled our promise to the public. Our government stands with the farmers. We have fulfilled the promise of loan waiver and purchase of paddy. He said that on August 20, the next installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana will come into the accounts of the farmers.

Earlier, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel received Mr. Kharge at the airport of capital Raipur and took him to Janjgir in a helicopter. On reaching Khokhra, special guests including Chief Guest Mr. Kharge and Chairman Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel were warmly welcomed with Karma dance and cymbals.
Addressing the conference, Chief Guest Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge said that after independence, our government built AIIMS, opened schools, colleges, universities. Built big factories, textile units, promoted industrialization. Worked to take the country forward. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel worked to strengthen the public sector. From Bhangra Nagal, Hirakud Dam to Bhilai Steel Plant, our government has built it. He said that our government made food security available to the poor and general public by bringing the Food Security Act. The state government headed by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel worked for the interests of all sections, waived off the loans of the farmers. Chhattisgarh government is working better on the justice scheme. The Government of Chhattisgarh is working to directly benefit different sections of the society through justice schemes. This is the only scheme of its kind in the entire country.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that our government is doing the work of upliftment of all sections of farmers, laborers, poor, women and youth. We have worked for the protection and advancement of all classes and society of Chhattisgarh. Under various schemes, an amount of about Rs 2.5 lakh crore has been directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries. There is no middle man, we put money directly into people’s pockets. This year we bought 107 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers. Money used to reach the account on the third day itself. Will buy 20 quintal paddy per acre this year.
Mr. Baghel has said that Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country where laborers are also being given annual assistance of Rs.7,000. We are buying tendu leaves from 13 lakh families at the rate of Rs 4000 per standard bag. Cow dung is not bought anywhere in the whole country but in our Chhattisgarh we are buying cow dung at Rs.2 per kg. We are giving the benefit of electricity bill half scheme to 42 lakh families. Now we will make jaitkham in each block. Sarpanch will get it constructed through Gram Panchayat. Today there is no such society which can say that the government has not given us money for land or building construction.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the tradition and culture of Chhattisgarh has got a new identity today. We are organizing events like Ramayana Mahotsav, National Tribal Festival, Youth Festival. People are returning to farming. From 12 lakh, now 26 lakh farmers are associated with the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in the state. Along with paddy, other crops have also been brought under the purview of the scheme. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that 5 years ago the condition of the farmers was bad, corruption and commission khori was in vogue. We strengthened the position of the farmers. In the previous government unemployment allowance was only Rs 300, we have given 1 lakh 22 thousand unemployed
