Bemetra. There was a massive collision between a pickup and a mini truck last night in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh. 9 people have died in this painful road accident. This incident happened near Kathia village of Bemetra district. 23 other people traveling in the car were injured in this accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Raipur AIIMS. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased.
Minister in-charge of the district, Arun Saav, has expressed consolation by talking to the family members of the victims on mobile. He said that we are with you in this time of sorrow. This is a very sad incident, the loss of a loved one is very painful. The government will provide all possible help including treatment. Earlier, Sao posted on social media and informed that the injured have been admitted to Raipur AIIMS. The administration is investigating the accident.
Accident happened while returning from sixth program
According to the information, this accident happened last night at around 11 pm near Kathiya village petrol pump of Bemetra police station area. More than 30 people traveling in the pickup were returning to their village Patharra after attending the Chhathi program from Tiraiya village. During this time, a pickup collided with a Mazda parked on the roadside in Kathiya village. A total of 9 people have died in this accident so far, while the condition of 4 is critical. The treatment of other 23 injured is continuing in Bemetara District Hospital and Simga Community Health Centre. Two injured are undergoing treatment at AIIMS. AIIMS Executive Director Ashok Jindal said that 42 year old Usha Sahu and 12 year old Dimple Sahu are undergoing treatment. The woman and the 12-year-old girl are from different families. The condition of the 42 year old woman is critical.
The driver told how the accident happened
Pickup driver Premu Sahu, who was injured in the accident, told that he was returning home from the Chhathi program at 10 pm. A truck came from the front, its lights blinded the driver and the vehicle turned to the side in a hurry. Didn’t understand what happened after that.
