Jagdalpur. Before the Lok Sabha elections, once again the issue of conversion has become hot in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. In fact, to prevent religious conversion in the Gram Panchayat of Bastar district, citing the rules of the Fifth Schedule in the village and by passing the Gram Sabha, a ban has been imposed on the business, trade and employment of the people of the particular community. Apart from this, any outsider belonging to a particular community has been banned from roaming in the village. Apart from this, many such strict rules have been made in the village, due to which an atmosphere of fear has been created among the villagers who have converted. In protest against these rules, on Monday, hundreds of people of special community of Launhadiguda block of Bastar district staged a protest and blocked the Jagdalpur-Chitrakote road for 1 hour. Even after protesting for about 4 hours, seeing that no officer came to take the memorandum, the youth of the special community opened their shirts and protested. After this, the youth submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to the SDM of Launhadiguda block and under the fifth schedule, a special Demanded withdrawal of the rules made in the Panchayat against the people of the community. The particular community alleges that by citing the rules in the Gram Sabha, the fundamental rights of the tribals and non-tribals following a particular religion are being violated by making wrong rules and taking advantage of the higher position. Efforts are being made to boycott people of these particular communities from the village. Work is being done to ban the use of taps, boring and ponds in the village, whereas the villagers here have been living in the same village for the last many years. People of a particular community protested against all these rules.
