Aam Aadmi Party created a ruckus during the siege of CM House on Saturday regarding the irregularities taking place in Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC). The police stopped the protesters near Sapre Maidan. During this, AAP workers broke the police barricades. There was also a slight scuffle between the police and AAP workers.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Suraj Upadhyay said that when the selection list of CGPSC 2021 -2022 came, the candidates and political parties had lodged objections. The Chief Minister had said that give evidence in this case, action will be taken. The High Court also banned the recruitment of people included in the selection list. The selection list of CGPSC 2021-22 is surrounded by controversies. It is alleged that there has been fraud and nepotism in recruitment. Former Home Minister and Rampur MLA Nankiram Kanwar has given the list of relatives of officers selected in PSC in the High Court. The High Court has also put a stay on 13 appointments after the PIL was filed. However, Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha also expressed displeasure at the petitioner’s advocate regarding some facts. The court has directed the state government and the PSC to verify the authenticity of the facts in the list presented by the petitioner.
