Balrampur 22 November 2020. Dr. MK Singh, Principal Scientist of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, visited various activities related to agriculture during his stay in the district and participated in farmers seminar and shared important information. Along with scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra Balrampur, he visited the field of pigeonpea cultivation being done by the farmers of the tribal community in Jhalria , Kharsota , Bhaisamunda , Ramnagarkala. During this, in the seminar organized for farmers, Dr. MK Singh gave information about the disease caused in the crop of pigeonpea. Discussed with farmers in detail about prevention and management of pests and diseases in pigeonpea production. He said that to increase the productivity of farmer pigeonpea. 501Also suggested to apply variety of pigeonpea. Dr. MK Singh visited the crop area of arhar being mainly used for seed production under the tribal sub-plan. Dr. VN Gautam, scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Balrampur told that Krishi Vigyan Kendra provides important information related to agriculture to farmers and training and support for advanced agriculture.
