One day training of staff nurses of primary and community health centers was completed in the district hospital. Any problem in the ear is not to be taken lightly and for this, at least once a year, you must get your ear examined by a skilled doctor, apart from any ear problem admitted in OPD and ward in community and primary health center. Rapid examination of the patient concerned is necessary. Deafness can come on permanently due to negligence. In such a situation, the role of the staff nurse available in the hospital becomes important, through them relief can be provided to the patient. Dr Neha Gangesree, District Nodal Officer and Nose Ear Throat Specialist of National Deafness Prevention and Control Program said these things during the training. The objective of this training was not only to facilitate the equipment but also to increase the efficiency of the human resource at the grassroots level. Accident to staff nurses in trainingThe staff nurses were also taught how to use instruments like tongue depressors , ear probes and mirrors for examination of young children so that the patient can get comfortable. In the training, it was told to diagnose conditions like itching in the ear , redness , pain , fungus ( ASOM), rupture of the curtain , pus ( CSOM) . Dr Neha said that , at present, the following ear-related facilities are available to the patient in the District Hospital, Baloda Bazar. In which it can be referred if needed. Cleaning of earwax and itching , pain , pus , dizziness ,When the hole in the screen operation , operation of lump / swelling in the ear , Maringo and Piplo a hearing plastic probe * Pure tone Audiometry Test and Imitensodiometry child’s birth 24 hours 6 until month to an auto acoustic emission test baby Brain stem and response audiometry measuring the response of the auditory nerve to various sounds – stuttering, stuttering and speech therapy at 2 years of age plus speech therapy every 3-10 yearsEar Care Day is also celebrated in the middle of March. In the above training, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Kumar Awasthi and District Program Manager Mrs. Anupama Tiwari also instructed the staff nurses to provide efficient service. Audiologist Trisha Sinha , audiometric assistant Gayatri Sahu and speech instructor Vinod Devangan assisted in the training .
