Balod, 18 February 2023, Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, marriage of 30 couples took place today in village Chilhatikala of Dondilohara development block of the district in the presence of family members and dignitaries. District Panchayat member Smt. Chandraprabha Sudhakar along with dignitaries blessed the newlyweds for a happy married life. On this occasion, the guests said that Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is a gift for the daughters of poor families.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has a sensitive thought that daughters should get married easily without any family expenditure. Due to this thought, he decided to increase the amount given under the scheme from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. With this, Chief Minister Kanya Vivah is being organized more smoothly.
