Arvind Singh liquor scam case, presented in court, sent on judicial remand till July 4

Raipur’s special court sent businessman Arvind Singh to jail. On Monday, the ED presented it in the court after the remand was over. After hearing the facts in the special court of Ajay Singh, Singh was taken to Central Jail on judicial remand. Arvind will be produced in the court again on July 4. This case is related to the liquor scam in the state. ED is probing it.

On July 4 itself, the rest of the accused in the liquor scam case, businessmen Anwar Dhebar, Trilok Dhillon, AP Tripathi and Nitesh Purohit will be presented. However, according to the recently revealed information, Dhebar, Purohit, Dhillon got themselves shifted from jail to the hospital claiming illness. Arvind was arrested from the crematorium 14 days ago.
The Central Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested absconding liquor baron Arvind Singh in Chhattisgarh’s Ramnagar Muktidham on Monday, 14 days ago in a case of liquor disturbance. Arvind’s mother Kamla Devi had passed away, Arvind had reached for her last rites.

3 years leave from BSP
According to sources, Arvind is an employee of Bhilai Steel Plant, but he has taken a leave of 36 months i.e. 3 years from April 1, 2020. He was to join duty on March 31, but has not yet given joining. BSP had also given notice for this. The ED, which is probing the liquor scam in Chhattisgarh, has described it as the main axis of transporting the alleged illegal liquor.

ED may present Chandrakar on Tuesday
Now another businessman is under the custody of ED. This businessman named Nikhil Chandrakar was caught last week. It was kept in its custody by the ED till June 27. Now it will be presented on Tuesday.
