Dinesh Kumar Jain, a resident of village Kokpur of Kanker block, told that job card has been made in the name of my wife and I, there are five members in the family, my son and daughter are also children, I did not face any problem to make their job card. . Dinesh Jain informed that I had heard that the village secretariat is established in the Panchayat building, where the problems of the villagers are resolved and information about various schemes run by the government is also available. I reached the rural secretariat, Kokpur, where officers and employees including sarpanch-panch were present, I told my problem to the employees present. He asked for Aadhar card, bank passbook and one photo each of my daughter and son. I submitted one set photocopy of all the documents along with the application to the Secretariat. Which has been passed by the members present in the Rural Secretariat, I will also get the job card of my children within 15 days, so that the children will also get employment in MNREGA work. Collector Shri Chandan Kumar has been thanked by Dinesh Jain for getting the Rural Secretariat operated in Panchayats in Kanker district.
The Secretary of the Gram Panchayat has been made the coordinator for the Rural Secretariat by the District Administration, who is also working as the Secretary for the Rural Secretariat. Rural Secretariat is organized on 01 day of the week in all Gram Panchayats, in which village level officers-employees like Rural Officer, Secretary, Patwari, Rural Agricultural Extension Officer, Hand Pump Mechanic, Anganwadi Worker, Forest Guard, Mitanin, Lineman, Employment Assistant etc. are mandatory. remain present. Complaints and problem-related applications received from the public in the Rural Secretariat are resolved by him. Nodal officers have been appointed by the district administration for the rural secretariat, which are district level or block level officers, through whom monitoring is done.
 Services received in Rural Secretariat – Caste, Income and residence certificate, birth-death registration, marriage registration, undisputed conversion, pension, old age pension, widow pension on the spot by bank friends, acceptance of new pension cases, in the village Hand pumps, redressal of complaints related to electricity, resolution of demands of MNREGA works and other construction works in Gram Panchayat, settlement of MNREGA wage payment, making new ration cards, adding new names in ration cards, etc. The information about the schemes of the government and the selection of the beneficiaries related to it is also being done in the Rural Secretariat.
