Raipur. The 27th All India Forest Sports Festival is going to be organized in Chhattisgarh from 16 to 22 October. About 3000 players will participate in 300 disciplines of 23 sports in this festival. About 584 female and 2320 male players will participate in it. 29 states, 8 union territories, 6 forestry institutes and officers and employees of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change will participate in this competition. With the special efforts of the then Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, the “All India Forest Sports Competition” was started in the year 1992 with the objective of mutual coordination and promotion of sports activities among employees and officers of all levels of the forest department of the states in the country on one platform. This time the sports festival to be held in Chhattisgarh will be inaugurated on 16 October, in which Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Cooperative and Forest Minister of Bihar Government Dr. Prem Kumar, Union Forest Department Secretary Leena Nandan, Union Forest Director General Jitendra Kumar and World Cricket T-20 Indian Captain Suryakumar Yadav will participate as special guests and encourage the players.
