Kawardha. After one and a half months, the City Kotwali Police has finally registered a case against Dilip Aggarwal, the operator of Narayani Jaggery Industry. Let us tell you that Santosh Markam, a laborer in the jaggery factory, died after getting trapped in the sugarcane crushing machine. In this matter, the police have registered a case under section 304 (A) of the IPC. The action taken against the operator of the jaggery factory has created a stir among the operators of the jaggery industries.

Actually, Narayani Jaggery Factory is operating in village Limo under Police Station City Kotwali. On February 8, a laborer named Santosh Markam was working in this jaggery factory. He died after getting trapped in the machine while crushing sugarcane. After the incident, the police was continuously investigating the matter. Investigation found that the operator of the jaggery factory did not provide any kind of safety to the workers, due to which the worker died while crushing sugarcane.

After investigation, the police have registered a case of negligence and culpable homicide against the operator of the jaggery factory, Dilip Aggarwal. Let us tell you that more than 300 jaggery factories are operating in the district. In all the jaggery industries, workers are risking their lives. Safety is not provided to workers in any jaggery industries. Due to this, most of the incidents happen to workers in jaggery factories during sugarcane crushing and even lives are lost. In the last three months, 3 workers have lost their lives in jaggery factories in the district. However, due to this action of the police, there has been panic among the factory operators.
