Raipur, 02 May 2021. The condition of corona infection in the state is constantly being monitored and reviewed daily by the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. In the state, every necessary measures and arrangements are being made with the coordinated efforts of the government and administration for treatment including prevention and prevention of corona infection.
A total of 72 lakh 6 thousand 500 tests have been conducted in the state as of May 1. A total of 7 lakh 28 thousand 700 Kovid cases were found in them, out of which 6 lakh 1 thousand 161 have been cured at present and one lakh 18 thousand 958 cases are active. Necessary steps are being taken in Chhattisgarh to increase the facility of corona screening, treatment and corona vaccination. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has said that there will be no shortage of funds for prevention of corona infection and treatment of patients. A large number of samples are being tested every day for control of Kovid infection and identification of the infected. So far, 2 lakh 50 thousand 888 samples have been tested per 10 lakh population in the state.
The state of Chhattisgarh is one of the few states in the country, where the maximum number of people are testing per 10 lakhs. Efforts are constantly being made to increase the testing capacity, especially RTPCR and True-Not Testing capacity in the state. The daily average testing month has increased to 49 thousand 249 in April. In Chhattisgarh, 2 lakh 50 thousand 888 tests are being done per 10 lakh, while at the national level, 2 lakh 12 thousand 13 tests are being done per 10 lakh. In Chhattisgarh, 2069 tests are being done on a population of 10 lakh per day, while at the national level there are 1430 per 10 lakh population. The percentage of RTPCR investigations in October 2020 was 26 percent of the total Kovid investigations taking place in the state, which has increased to 40 percent in April 2021.
At present, 31 government labs and 5 private labs have facilities for true-knot testing. Testing facility of RTPCR is available in 7 government labs and 5 private labs. Rapid antigen test facilities are available up to Primary Health Center level. At present, 4 new government RTPCR labs are being set up in Mahasamund, Kanker, Korba and Korea and the testing capacity of TruNat lab can also be increased by providing additional machines in each district. At the end of the year 2020, an average of 4-5 contacts were tracked per cavid positive person and an average of 7 people are currently being tracked and tested.
For the treatment of Kovid-19 patients in the state, 37 dedicated colleges including AIIMS Raipur and a total of 154 Kovid Care Centers have been set up by the state government. Dedicated Kovid Hospital has been set up in every district of the state. 5 thousand 294 beds have been prepared in government dedicated Kovid Hospital and 16 thousand 395 beds in Kovid Care Center. A total of 9 thousand 596 beds have been prepared in private Kovid Hospital. The total available ventilators are one thousand 151. To increase the number of oxygenated beds, 15 new oxygen generation plants have been set up in the state. Apart from this, 9 plants are under process which will be set up in the next one week.
Similarly, a special telecommunication hub has been set up at Raipur Medical College, through which telecommunication is provided to all government dedicated Kovid Hospitals through video conferencing every day by the college subject experts from May 2020 and is required. Tele rounds are also taken. So far, home isolation has been provided to more than 2.5 lakh people in the state, in which 90 percent of the patients have become healthy. Control rooms have also been set up in each district to monitor home isolated patients.
Corona vaccination is gradually taking the form of mass movement in Chhattisgarh. Vaccination work in the state is in full swing to prevent corona infection. Chhattisgarh has the second best performance in the entire country in terms of vaccination of health workers. The state of Chhattisgarh ranks fourth in the entire country in giving the first dose of Kovid-19 vaccine to the age group above 45 years. In the whole country, only Ladakh, Sikkim and Tripura are ahead of Chhattisgarh. If we talk about the age group of 60 years and above, Chhattisgarh ranks fifth in the country after Ladakh, Rajasthan, Sikkim and Tripura.
Currently, an average of 2.13 lakh persons are being vaccinated daily in the state. In Chhattisgarh, the first dose of vaccination has been given to 88 percent healthcare workers, 94 percent front line workers and 73 percent beneficiaries in the age group above 45 years. Second dose has been given to 62 percent health care workers, 56 percent front line workers and 6 percent citizens in the age group above 45 years. Chhattisgarh has the 6th best performance in the country in terms of frontline workers. At present, vaccination is being done in a total of 4894 session sites registered in Chhattisgarh and 6823 trained vaccinators are available in the state.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has appealed to the heads of all social and business organizations of Chhattisgarh to ensure their active participation in prevention and rescue efforts from Corona. They have said that we will fight together with Corona only then we will be able to defeat Corona. Last year too, the people of the society had participated extensively in this work, this time also the social organizations have assured to cooperate extensively. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has said that it is time that we all come together and strictly follow the rules of protection against corona and motivate more and more people to get vaccinated.
