The Health Department has issued instructions regarding the use and record keeping of RemDCivir injections in private Kovid hospitals and government Kovid hospitals, Kovid care centers, etc. Instructions in this regard have been issued on 23 April by the Director Health Services, Neeraj Bansod. The Chief Health and Medical Officers have also been asked to conduct surprise inspections in this regard.
It has been said in the directive that it has come to the notice of the state government that for the last few days, there has been an increase in the demand for Remedesivir injection for the treatment of patients infected with Kovid 19 in the state. In view of these circumstances, guidelines have been circulated regarding the use and record maintenance of Remedisvir Injection under the powers conferred under Chhattisgarh Epidemic Disease Kovid 19 Regulations 2020 and Epidemic Act 1897. Remedesvir should be used in accordance with the Teetment Protocol issued by the Department of Health and the guidelines issued by ICMR. Assessment of the need to apply Remadecivir for hospitalized Kovid patients, Medicine specialists, pulmonologists, working in the hospital It will be done by an Intesivist or an authorized physician and it should be applied to Kovid patients only after their approval. The instruction states that after the expiry of the stock of Remedisvir in the hospital, the family members of the patient are being asked to make arrangements from outside. Before ending the stock of Remedisvir in the hospital, make necessary arrangements by coordinating with the Food and Drug Administration / District Administration. The stock of the available stock of RemdesiVer, the vacant vial, to whom it has been installed will be reviewed and inspected by the District Administration and the Chief Medical and Health Officer. It has been said in the directive that the stock of Remedesvir injection allocated for the dedicated Kovid Hospitals and Kovid Care Centers of the district should not be given in the Red Cross Store or Jan Aushadhi Centers run by the government institution so that it is sufficiently available in the Kovid Hospitals.
Apart from this, the correct information of bed availability in private Kovid hospitals on the monitoring system portal should be updated 4 to 5 times a day. Regarding the information on the beds given on the portal, a review and surprise inspection will be done by the district administration and the Chief Medical and Health Officer and action will be taken to revoke the permission for covid treatment on the confirmation of incorrect information on the portal.
