FIR lodged in Sagar district against proprietor of illegal fertilser manufacturing firm
On the directives of the Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development, Horticulture and Food Processing Shri Sachin Yadav, intensive checking campaign is being carried out by the Department of Agriculture in the state from November 15th to 30th to ensure purity of fertilisers, seeds and pesticides. On Friday, the first day of the campaign, 62 samples have been collected by inspecting godowns of 82 fertilizer sellers. In Sagar district, an FIR has been lodged under the Fertlisers Act at Baheria police station against the Proprietor Ashraf Hussain of the concerned firm on finding illegal manufacturing of fertilizer, its storage and sale.
In the campaign, 4 samples were collected by inspecting 5 fertilizer manufacturing units. The inspection teams inspected the godowns of 8 pesticides sellers and samples have been taken. Apart from this, 8 seed samples have been taken from the 14 seed sellers after the inspection of their godowns.
