Raipur 23 April 21. The state government is making every effort to treat Kovid patients. The number of beds for the infected has been increased, the availability of medical oxygen and Ramidevir injection is being ensured. To increase the number of oxygenated beds, 15 new oxygen generation plants have been set up in the state. The state government has also appointed nodal officers for monitoring treatment of Kovid patients in private hospitals.
According to the information received from the health department, the number of beds in 215 dedicated government hospitals and 154 covid care centers in the state is 21565, which has 6310 oxygen beds. There are a total of 6889 beds in private hospitals of the state of which 5346 are oxygen beds. There are a total of 9132 beds with oxygen facility in the state, including government and private. In these hospitals, about 14000 are working in medical work and about 29000 in assistant’s work. There are 1002 ventilators in the state which are available in 526 government hospitals and 476 private hospitals. More ventilators are being sought from the central government.
To increase the number of oxygenated beds, 15 new oxygen generation plants have been set up in the state. Apart from this, 9 plants are under process which will be set up next week. There are 234 metric tons of oxygen available in the state and 8000 industrial cylinders have been converted into medical oxygen cylinders to assist in its distribution.
Permission for establishment of 9 liquid oxygen storage units in the state is being obtained from the central government. Compressed liquid oxygen, falling into the category of explosives, requires permission from the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization. Today, 15000 injections are being made available to patients admitted to hospitals to overcome the shortage of injection Remedisvir.
The state has 1915 Tests per million while the national average is 1480. Corona patients are being tested regularly with RTPCR, True NAT and Antigen methods. More than 55 thousand tests were done yesterday. 40 percent of the total test in the state is being done RTPPCR which will be further increased. Contact tracing of those who came in contact with infected people is also being investigated.
