Raipur, 22 April 2021. Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar today held a virtual meeting with the public representatives of the Assembly Ahiwara in view of the growing corona infection. Minister Guru Rudrakumar spoke of taking necessary steps to provide better medical facilities to the corona victims of the area. During the meeting, all the public representatives in turn gave detailed information about the medical facilities in their respective areas and also requested to improve them. Minister Guru Rudrakumar has spoken about the possible action on the suggestion of the regional public representatives. He said that the state government is providing better medical facilities in view of the increasing effects of corona infection. It is commendable that social organizations, community heads and public representatives have played an active role in preventing the Corona infection in this asymmetric situation.
In this virtual meeting, District President of Durg, Shri Devendra Deshmukh, provided one oxygen-rich ambulance and carcass vehicles in the Municipal Corporation Bhilai-Charoda, Jamul Municipality and Ahiwara Nagar Palika Parishad with MLA fund and Kurmi Samaj located at Bhilai-3. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Minister Guru Rudrakumar for making the community building (Mangal Bhavan) of Kovid Center and the availability of wood in Muktidham for the funeral of the deceased person from Corona. District Panchayat President Smt. Shalini Yadav talked about giving full dose of medicines to patients with home isolation and encouraged the public representatives by making continuous contact with the infected family. Similarly, Smt Saraswati Ratre, chairperson of Dhamdha Janpad Panchayat, spoke about bringing awareness among the people through various means to remove the fear of vaccination of the people.
In the meeting, Minister Guru Rudrakumar said in relation to his demands and suggestions by public representatives that there is a provision to spend money in the health sector under the 15th Finance Plan and the 14th Finance Plan. The amount of these schemes at the panchayat level can be used to tackle the Kovid-19 epidemic. Under this, medicine kits, sanitizers, mask distribution and other corona infection prevention works can also be done. He said that there is a provision to keep one quintal of rice in every gram panchayat. In view of the Corona crisis period, it should be distributed to the destitute and the needy. Minister Guru Rudrakumar further said that it is the responsibility of the Gram Panchayat to provide food grains to the needy persons and families under the Gram Panchayat.
Minister Guru Rudrakumar informed that helpline number 0771-2420707 has been issued to assist the Corona-infected people of Ahiwara assembly constituency. This helpline number was set up at his official residence in Raipur, which will be used during office hours. The sarpanch of 62 villages including Zilla Panchayat member, Janpad member, President of Sarpanch Sangh Mr. Jhumuk Lal Sahu attended the ministerial meeting.
