Raipur 16 April 2021. Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria has given instructions to follow the labor law. He has also warned of statutory action in case of any kind of injustice done to the employees during the Kovid period. In this regard, all the District Collectors have been directed by the Labor Department to take care of the cleaning workers working through the contractors under the urban bodies / nagar panchayats in the districts and provide them the facilities available by the government. Instructions have been given to take special care to ensure that there is no injustice to such cleaning workers working under the contractors.
In a letter issued to the collectors by the Labor Department, it has been said that the cleaning workers are performing the cleaning work as Kovid 19, the first line worker of the districts in the critical condition of the corona virus, these cleaning workers are provided with the necessary safety equipment such as masks, Complaints about not providing gloves etc. and no medical insurance have been reported.
