In line with the Government’s guidelines in accordance with the intention of the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, extensive steps are being taken in terms of better treatment and good health of corona patients in Raipur district. Collector Dr. S. Bharti Dasan informed that these Kovid centers have arrangement of 210, 50 and 50 beds respectively. With the introduction of these, the number of 310 beds in Raipur district has increased. Here the number of beds containing oxygen and concentrator are 40, 15 and 30 respectively. In this way, the number of oxygen-rich beds has also increased to 85 more in the district. With the commissioning of these three centers, the number of beds has now increased to 1274 in Raipur district apart from medical college, which has 391 oxygen-rich and 523 concentrator beds. In addition to the Medical College in the district, additional arrangements for beds with 915 oxygen facilities have been made.
It is noteworthy that recently the Kovid Care Center has been started at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur. The center has a total of 350 beds, with 67 oxygen-assisted beds and 219 beds with oxygen concentrators. Thus, there are 286 oxygen-rich beds here. The center has 24-hour doctors and medical staff for proper treatment. The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Meera Baghel said that all the essential medicines for patients here are available free of cost to the corona patients like any major hospital here.
Corona patients can contact the district control room number to be admitted to these hospitals or covid care centers and for treatment. They can request a home isolation or covid care center in the control room as per their convenience and needs. Ambulances can also be demanded to visit these hospitals or covid care centers in the control room.
