Labor Minister Dr. Dahria gave instructions to work in the interest of employees
Raipur 6 April 2021. A virtual meeting of Regional Council Employees State Insurance Corporation Chhattisgarh was held under the chairmanship of Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria. The agenda wise points were discussed in the meeting. While discussing the topics covered in the agenda, Minister Dr. Dhariya instructed to work in the interest of the employees. He directed the government to allot free land for dispensaries operating in rented buildings from the dispensaries functioning under Employees’ State Insurance Services, and shift the dispensaries operating in unsuitable buildings to suitable buildings.
Labor Minister Dr. Dhariya gave necessary instructions to officials associated with Labor Department and Regional Council Employees State Insurance Corporation in a virtual meeting. The implementation of the decisions taken in the earlier meeting of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Regional Council was discussed. It was directed by the Minister that 42 dispensaries are functioning in 10 districts. In the remaining 18 districts, the system of IMP Doctor should be ensured for the treatment of the insured. The dispensaries of Kumhari, Birgaon and Raigad are in their own buildings, they should be repaired and maintained smoothly. Free land will be provided by the state government for construction of buildings for the dispensaries operating in 39 rented buildings. Out of the dispensaries operated in rented buildings, 24 dispensaries which operate in unsuitable buildings, Be shifted to the appropriate building. He directed to start construction of hospitals of Bhilai and Raigad by completing the construction work at the earliest. He informed that a proposal for starting 100 bedded hospitals in Bilaspur and 30 bedded hospitals in Balodabazar has been sent to the headquarters of the Employees State Insurance Corporation, approval is pending. Dispensaries have been approved in Ambikapur and Kabirdham, but the building is not available. Therefore, the building should be made available soon. It was informed in the meeting that in the event of non-availability of health facility of Employees State Insurance Corporation / Services within a radius of 10 km, the insured persons have been approved to receive medical services directly in the contracted hospital from the corporation and guidelines in the above subject has been issued. Based on the number and other criteria insured by the Headquarters Employees State Insurance Corporation, approval has been given to open new dispensaries in Urla Industrial Area, Tilda (Raipur), Lara and Kharsia (Raigad). Tenders are being issued for renting of new buildings in these places. These dispensaries will start soon.
It was discussed in the meeting that at present the provisions of the Employees Insurance Corporation in 17 districts of Chhattisgarh are partially applicable only in the urban body area falling under the district headquarters. There is a need to provide medical care through IMPs (panel doctors) in these districts, so that the provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance Act can be implemented in the entire areas of these districts. Issues referred by the members of the regional council were also discussed in the meeting. Principal Secretary of Labor Department, Labor Commissioner, Director Employees State Insurance Corporation, members of Industries and Trade Unions were present online in the virtual meeting.
