Minister Guru Rudrakumar congratulated the district administration and the district panchayat team
Raipur, 1 April 2021. Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar has congratulated the team of district Kondagaon district administration and district panchayat under his charge on receiving the National Award. Appreciating the various development works being conducted in the district, he said that the district in charge of Kondagaon is doing better in the area of development. It is noteworthy that the Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award, Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award and Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award were announced today by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India on 31 March. In which it was announced to confer the Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award (DDUPSP) 2021, giving first place in Chhattisgarh for the year 2019-20 for outstanding work to the District Panchayat Kondagaon.
It is worth noting that the District Panchayat Kondagaon is running the plantations smoothly for the development of livestock, performing excellently in Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari, the ambitious plans of the state government. Vermi compost manure is also being prepared by taking proper care of cow, bull, animals (Garva). These gothanas are also being operated as multi-activation centers. In which self-employment is being made self-reliant by providing self-employment to groups of rural women and the people working in it.
Through the MGNREGA, construction of 130 new ponds, plantation, planting of medicinal plants, bari, livelihood enhancement have been done by the District Panchayat during the period of lockdown. Similarly, work is being done to make 100-125 women self-help groups self-reliant through 12 activities through Udaan Aajeevika Kendra at District Headquarters under NRLM. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, work is being done for the improvement of solid waste management and drainage system by working continuously with the cooperation of women self-help groups and villagers in the field of complete sanitation. ODF to District Kondagaon It has been declared and the beneficiaries have been benefited as per the target set under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. To overcome malnutrition, constant efforts have been made by schools and anganwadis to supply materials through bihan groups.
Panchayat committees have been formed in district panchayat Kondagaon and regular meetings of general assembly and committees have been organized as per schedule and successful implementation of annual action plans is being done.
