Raipur, 27 March 2021. The Deputy Mission Head (Deputy Head of Mission) of the Embassy of Sweden, Mr. Gautam Bhattacharya, paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. He discussed the possibilities of mutual cooperation between Chhattisgarh and Sweden in various fields including health, industry and forests with the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister welcomed Shri Bhattacharya, who was on a visit to Chhattisgarh, by presenting him with a shawl and insignia.
During the discussion, Shri Bhattacharya appreciated the various schemes launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh including promotion of Gothans and industries being developed under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme, Suraji Village Scheme for poor children in Chhattisgarh. Mr. Bhattacharya informed that the Ambassador of Sweden will visit Chhattisgarh to discuss the possibilities of investment in Chhattisgarh and common cooperation in various fields.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel gave him detailed information about education, health, strengthening rural economy, value addition in forest produce and mineral wealth, state government schemes and new industry policy being conducted to make women self-help groups self-reliant. The Chief Minister welcomed the initiative taken by Sweden for cooperation in various fields with Chhattisgarh and said that for this, full support will be given by the State Government. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Gautam Bhattacharya, Deputy Head of Mission, Sweden, reached Raipur, Chhattisgarh’s capital on Friday, visited Gundhan of Phundhar and took stock of the activities conducted there. He started BP under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme. The Pujari School, Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, also visited the mobile clinics operated under the Urban Slum Health Scheme. During the meeting with the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhattacharya appreciated these schemes.
