Instructions to take necessary action in view of summer season
Raipur, 24 March 2021. Director of Jal Jeevan Mission, S. Prakash today took a meeting through video conferencing of executive engineers of all the districts of Public Health Engineering Department. In this meeting, the closed tap water scheme was reviewed in view of summer season. He became aware of the reasons for the closure of the schemes and gave necessary instructions to the officers to remove them promptly.
During the meeting, he took detailed information about the group tap water scheme operated in Bemetara, Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Kabirdham and Dantewada districts of the state. Officials said that water supply is being done smoothly from all group tap water schemes. Mission Director Shri S. Prakash said that keeping in mind the summer season, one control room should be set up at district level for hand pump maintenance and immediately after getting information about deteriorated hand pump by any means. He informed that tenders are being floated in various districts under the Water Life Mission. Meet the local contractors of the district and resolve all their doubts and also try to ensure that they have maximum participation in the tender. He said that all the districts should also work on skill development at their level, After training the mason and plumber, he gave necessary instructions to try to make the district competent in terms of skill. On this occasion, Chief Engineer Shri T.G. Chief Engineers of Kosria, Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur enclaves were present.
