Raipur, 22 March 2021.  Addressing the initial session of the last phase of orientation and capacity development training of principals and subject teachers of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School, Joint Director of Tribal Research and Training Institute and Deputy Secretary in Raj Bhavan Secretariat, Dr. T.R. Vaishnav said that in Eklavya schools, students belonging to the scheduled tribe category of rural environment are studying, Therefore, it should be our prime goal to provide good education to them. He said that education is the key to tribal development. By providing quality education, you can play an important role in connecting the students studying in these schools to the mainstream of society. The last phase of training at Thakur Pyarelal Panchayat and Rural Development Institute Nimora started from today, which will run till 25 March. In the last phase of training, principals and mathematics teachers of the schools will be made aware of the specifics of leadership capacity and management.

While addressing the problems of tribal development and their solutions, Dr. Vaishnav said that education is of two types – formal and informal. In informal education, a person learns from his parents, friends and the environment around him, whereas formal education involves learning through schools, colleges and other educational institutions. Both mediums of education are very important. Education plays an important role in making a civilized citizen. All the principals and subject teachers present in the training have come to take formal education. So take advantage of the training session with complete honesty.

Shri Pragyan Seth, Deputy Commissioner, Tribal Department, threw light on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. He discussed the provisions made for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in the basic concept of the Constitution and stressed to bring maximum benefit of these provisions to the students of these sections. During the discussion, the principals pointed out the problem of removing the lack of study material and teaching techniques in education from the CBSE pattern. Mr. Seth said that NCERT books, previous years question papers and their solutions are all available on the CBSE website. Through this successfully complete information can be obtained. For the solution of any other problem, the help of subject-matter expert of Azim Premji Foundation, present in the training, can be taken.

It is noteworthy that the main objective of the training program is to make teachers aware of the new teaching method as well as to increase professional competence among them. So that they can develop a better understanding of the subject and they can give the subject knowledge to the students in a very simple way. Training is being imparted for the first time on the basis of CBSE pattern. Through training, the nuances of teaching techniques are being made aware on the basis of CBSE board. It is also noteworthy that the first phase of the four-day training program was given to the teachers of English and Social Sciences from 9 to 12 March. In the second phase, teachers of Hindi and science subjects were trained from 15 to 18 March. In the last phase, the principals and teachers of Mathematics subjects of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School are being trained from 22 to 25 March.
