Raipur 17 March 2021. Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, President of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women, heard 25 cases related to women in the Commission’s office at Shastri Chek, Raipur on the second day today. During the hearing, a couple reunited in an episode in which both parties made their own written terms and both agreed and signed their own. Both were advised by the Women’s Commission that both should live their lives happily. The Commission has kept the matter under observation for 2 months, not ending it.
In the case of Kushabhau Thackeray Journalism and Mass Communication University, the case was suspended with mutual agreement. At the same time, the officials present were ensured that the Internal Complaint Committee should be formed in the university immediately and after the formation of the Internal Complaint Committee, its poster must be put in its premises.
In one case, it was explained that the Women’s Commission should not come to avoid inferiority or transfer in service and to avoid irregularities. In case of lack of departmental service or transfer, a complaint can be made to the higher officer under departmental procedure. Not doing so has complained to the Women’s Commission, which case has been shelved due to not being under the jurisdiction of the Women’s Commission. The Commission expressed its displeasure over the non-attendance of many of the parties and directed them to ensure their presence through the police of the area concerned.
