Raipur, 12 March 2021.  Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike, while addressing the reception ceremony of women on the occasion of International Women’s Day at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan today, said that women should emerge as a force in every field, which will lead to the proper development of society and the country. The Governor gave instructions to set up a women’s cell in Raj Bhavan as suggested on this occasion. On this occasion, she honored women by performing excellent work in various fields by offering shawls and souvenirs. On this occasion a tree plantation and balloons were released in the court hall complex of the Raj Bhavan.
The Governor, Ms. Uike said that during the programs organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day, I thought that why should not women be respected in the Raj Bhavan. If we respect a woman, then she not only respects the entire women. This inspires other women and brings awakening in the society. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, entrusted me with the responsibility of the post of Governor of Chhattisgarh. For the first time in Chhattisgarh, a woman was entrusted with this position, then I was very happy. At the same time, the entire women’s society was also honored.
The Governor said that there was a time that the status of women in the society was weak, but gradually awareness came and the condition of women has improved. If we look at women today, they are moving forward in every field in the whole world. In our country of India also, women are waving their glory in all fields. He said that in order to empower the country of India, women must first be empowered and empowered, that is, they have to be given this confidence, they have to be given enough strength to be able to stand on their feet and become self-reliant. Awakening in any part of the world has come with the support of women.
Ms Uike said that in Chhattisgarh, women are not far behind. Here in some districts, women are performing their duties well in the rank of collector, in some departments and in local bodies and panchayats. Not only this, in remote areas like Bastar, women are taking on the Naxalites even in odd circumstances as commandos. At the same time, women are organizing themselves as self-help groups and making various costumes, which will be sent abroad. At the same time, the women band of Bastar Police Department makes us proud by playing other tunes including the national anthem. At the same time, women of Jashpur made sanitizer from Mahua at the time of Kovid-19 and also earned income. It is a symbol of women’s empowerment.
On this occasion, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women, Mrs. Kiranmayi Nayak appreciated this innovative ceremony organized by Governor Ms. Uike for the honor of women doing excellent work for the first time at Raj Bhavan and said that the women gathered here today proved their work. Is that they are ideal and an inspiration to others. She expressed the need to form a group for the development of women. Dr. Aruna Palta, Vice Chancellor, Hemchand University Durg, praised the program and said that women are considered competent only when they are able to take decisions on their own. Not just from earning income. Padma Shri Smt Phulbasan Bai Yadav also expressed her view.
