Raipur: Innovative initiative of Chhattisgarh State Women Commission: consideration of women empowerment of men going to ‘Man for Women’ program

Raipur, 10 March 2021.  The Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women has taken an innovative initiative by organizing the Man for Women program on the occasion of International Women’s Day . The event, held at the New Circuit House in the capital Raipur, included only men as speakers and their views on the role of men in women’s empowerment. In the program, Advocate General of Chhattisgarh Satish Chandra Verma, Director General of Police DM Awasthi, international educationist Dr. Jawahar Suri Shetty, Director of Balaji Nursing Home, Dr. Devendra Nayak gave their views. In the program, forensic expert Ms. Sunanda Dhenge also told the women how to protect themselves from cyber crime.

Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission, said that on Women’s Day, women are the only women who raise the flag of Jagran, all the women who listen to it are also women. Whereas in harmony with men, women have to move forward in every field, whether it is family or workplace. Then why not move ahead by making him your good colleague, friend, guide. Dr. Nayak said that the Women’s Commission has taken the initiative to know the views of men on this occasion. All male speakers have connections and experiences from different fields. All the speakers on this forum have acknowledged that men are incomplete without women. I believe this is an expression of the entire male society with these speakers. Siddhant men in their fields have shown their thanks to the mother, teacher and wife behind their success, who have publicly thanked them. It will definitely affect the male society.

Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak said that the program was organized today by the men given by the National Commission for Women to express their views regarding women. He said that we must first eliminate discrimination from our family between sons and daughters. Give sons training in household chores and teach respect to every woman. Changes in boys will also show a major change in society. If a house is improved then it will improve the society, society and the state and the country. Dr. Nayak informed that the Women’s Commission has set up a WhatsApp call center, in which any woman can register her complaint through WhatsApp.

At the program, Advocate General  Satish Chandra Verma said that the woman herself is powerful and does not need any more power. Any attempt to curb the power of women needs to be removed. He said that by keeping the right attitude of men, there will be a gradual change. Women should also have equal participation in this change. Women recognized their power and duties too. They have to keep pace with change. Giving information about the laws implemented to help women after independence, he said that he deserves congratulations for the positive change that has come about women in society.

Director General of Police DM Awasthi said that it is generally seen that women are harassed more than men. In women, their important quality is that of sensitivity, which they must maintain. Women have an important role to play in advancing men. Women are the foundation of every high-rise building in the society. Men do not have the qualities of sacrifice, sacrifice and dedication as much as women. He said that women can feel free to bring their problems to the police at any time.

Dr. Devendra Nayak said that if women give a little feather, it will touch the sky. If you do not learn to respect the women, then all is in vain. He said that most of the women are seen as nurses because they have compassion and compassion. Women have inner strength, which needs to be brought out. It is not the degree of a person but his confidence and character that elevates him. He said that it has been decided not to charge any fees for the birth of a daughter in his hospital. The smile of the mothers face is their fee. It is also our responsibility to return the society with respect.

Dr. Jawahar Suri Shetty narrating his experiences said that his mother and teacher had a profound influence on his life and success. A woman can groom the life of any man. He said that gender equality does not mean equality between women and men, but discrimination between them. Men need to remove the restrictions in their thinking.
