Governor honored women who did excellent work

Raipur, 08 March 2021.  Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike, while addressing a discussion on the topic “Role of women power in society” organized by Raipur Pressclub on the occasion of International Women’s Day today, said that all women should keep their confidence strong. Also, taking this resolution, say to yourself that I will be able to do everything and do some good work that will inspire the society. The Governor appreciated the women journalists and said that I salute their spirit. The brilliance with which she discharges her family and social obligations is commendable. This area is also sometimes risky for them, but they carry out their responsibility with impunity.
Governor Ms. Uike said that after becoming the Governor of Chhattisgarh, I had the first opportunity to come to this event organized in Raipur Pressclub. For this, he thanked the officials of the pressclub. He also bowed down to the late Madhukar Kher, a senior journalist, and said that the pressclub is the place where the enlightened people, who bring awareness to the society, bring public information and positive news to the world, brainstorm. He told the women to maintain their confidence no matter what challenges they face in life. Always be upbeat, you will definitely get success.
While discussing the Naxalism problem, the Governor said that it is ironic that a large part of Chhattisgarh is grappling with this complex problem. Soon after assuming the responsibility of the Governor, I met the public representatives and residents of this area and tried to find out the problem. He said why this problem is flourishing only in tribal areas. To solve this problem, it is necessary to communicate with the people of that area in confidence. I had requested to take necessary initiative in the Governor’s conference raising this issue.
The Governor said that today when we are organizing so much on the occasion of Women’s Day, the whole society should churn this thing. Today we have all facilities, education and technology, but why are the reports of female crime coming from time to time? If a daughter goes ahead, why are some questions raised by some elements of the society. In fact, it is the result of our thinking, our ideas will have to be changed completely. Our attitude has to be changed, we should not think that this is a daughter or a son, girls cannot do this work. Encourage them wherever they want to go, give them courage.
Recalling the incident of late Shri Arjun Singh’s tenure as Governor in Punjab, senior journalist Mr. Ramesh Nayyar said that when I entered the pressclub, I remembered the martyrdom of that time after listening to the tune of the police band. Today, Chhattisgarh is struggling with Naxalism. Shri Nayyar urged the Governor to take necessary initiatives from the Central Government to solve this problem. Senior journalist Mrs. Ratna Verma, Padma Shri Mrs. Phulbasan Yadav, Vice Chancellor of Khairagarh University, Mrs. Mamta Chandrakar, Additional Collector Mrs. Padmani Bhoi, Mrs. Manjulata Baradia, Mrs. Urmila Devi and Dr. Monica Agarwal were honored on the occasion. The event was organized by Raipur Pressclub and Shubham Teaching and Arts Institute.
On this occasion, Chairman of State Cow Service Commission Mahant Ramsunder Das, advisory member of National Commission for Women, Mrs. Harshita Pandey, Shubham Head of Teaching and Arts Institute, Mrs. Mahua Majumdar, President of Pressclub Mr. Damu Ambedare, Senior Journalist Mr. Anil Pusadkar, Treasurer Mrs. Shagufta Sheerin and members of the pressclub were present.
