Raipur, 07 March 2021.  Chief Minister  Bhupesh Baghel while addressing Sant Shiromani Ravidas Jayanti and Meher Youth Youth Introduction Conference here today said that education is necessary for the progress of society. The society should be associated with education and break with the evils. The Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand English Medium School will be started in the block level in the state, so that children of weaker sections of the society can also get education in English medium. The Mehr Samaj organized a youth-youth introduction conference and ideal mass marriage on this occasion by the Mehar Samaj in the building of the Chhattisgarh Hardia Sahu Samaj, located near the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Temple in the Mahadev Ghat in the capital Raipur. The Chief Minister blessed the married couples here for their happy life. Before this, the Chief Minister prayed in the temple of Saint Shiromani Ravidas Ji and asked him for his blessings for the prosperity of the state.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that a 200-bed Scheduled Caste Residential Coaching Center will be built in Nava Raipur, the state government will pay the fees of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste students who enroll in a national level school to be opened in Nava Raipur. He said that in order to advance the society, it is necessary to give up the intoxication. People of the society should come forward to make people aware of the evils of drug addiction. While addressing the function, the Chief Minister assured simplification of the process of making caste certificate to remove the problems faced by the caste certificate of the Meher society, and also approved Rs 20 lakh for the renovation of the building of the society. .
The Chief Minister said that a leather craft board will be set up in the state. Through the board, the people of the society will be trained to make shoe slippers in a modern way and the work of setting up workshop at block level for leather craftsmen will be done. He said that C-Marts would be opened in every district headquarters for the sale of finished products by various craftsmen, women self-help groups, and various products including Kosa garments, agricultural products. This year Raipur, Bilaspur, C-Mart will open in the fort. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi used to say that villages are the soul of India. The state government has also taken the initiative to empower and develop the village. Due to farmer friendly policies of Chhattisgarh Government, people who have left farming have returned to the fields in large numbers. Through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Yojana, farmers are being given input assistance at the rate of Rs. 10 thousand per acre. He said that the government’s job is to serve the public and support the poor, farmers and laborers. The state government is working in this direction. He said that vermi compost is being made from cow dung purchased at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg through Godan Nyaya Yojana. Nearly 50 thousand women of rural areas have got employment in 5 thousand Gothans of the state. He said that Telghanis will be opened in the villages. Farmers and laborers have to cooperate. Presiding over the function, State President of Meher Samaj, Mr. Khilwan Baghel said that today Meher Samaj is on the path of progress. Many people of the society are D.Litt, many doctors, scientists, engineers, lawyers and teachers. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vinod Sevan Lal Chandrakar said on the occasion that the state government is working towards the upliftment of all societies. He said that education is the medium to uplift the society, so the society should pay special attention to the education of children. In the program, the office bearers of the society greeted the Chief Minister by offering shawls, quince and souvenirs. On this occasion, General Secretary of Mehar Samaj, Mr. Pardeshi Ram Lahiri, State Treasurer Mr. Rakesh Mehar, State President of Youth Organization Mr. Tulsi Dandiya, Several officials and members of the society were present in large numbers, including the state president of the women’s organization, Mrs. Sarojini Ratre. Chief Minister on behalf of Meher Samaj, Principal of Daulat Ram College Kasdol, Major Dr. H.K.S. Gajendra and Dr. Chaitram Ratre, technical officer of the Geography Department of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, were awarded the Mehratna Samman.
