Workers are taking interest in MNREGA works by guaranteeing employment and payment
Balrampur 02 March 2021. Samaylal, who lives in Madanpur of Wadrafnagar block, is a small marginal farmer and a laborer employed in MNREGA, who has now become the owner of Dabri. The livelihood of Samaylal’s family is dependent on agriculture as well as employment from MNREGA. Samaylal and his wife Rajmati are employed in labor-intensive works conducted under MGNREGA and getting employment. Samayalal, who has been associated with the construction of Dabri for a long time, said that while working for the construction of several Dubri as an MNREGA laborer, I wished to build my own Dabri and applied to the Gram Panchayat for Dabri approval. Samayalal’s Dabri was approved in the year 2020-21 itself and Samayalal and his family, together with other workers, started the construction of Dabri from December 2020 ,Which is now in a state of completion. Samaylal, who worked as a laborer in Dabri of other persons in the MGNREGA, has now become the owner of his own Dabri. Samaylal’s two acres of unirrigated land will now be irrigated by the construction of Dabri and he will be able to harvest both in Rabi and Kharif seasons. With the creation of 1472 Human Labor Days in Samayalal’s Dabri, 30-35 workers are getting continuous employment. Due to the expansion of irrigation capacity due to construction of Dabri, twelve months Samayalal’s fields will get water and crop yield will also increase. It is known that unskilled laborers of the district are employed in MNREGA and are getting continuous employment. Dabri , ponds , bunds , land leveling to increase soil conservation and ground water level in MNREGA along with employment generation., Earthen dams , wells , boulder checks , construction of gabion structures, important works are being done. The local people will get the direct benefit of rising ground water level and the moisture of the land will remain. MNREGA provides employment to the people at the local level as well as paying wages on time. Due to which people do not have to go out in search of work and also get guaranteed wages and payment. MNREGA has given work to thousands of workers like Samayalal and has also provided them financial security. Collector Shri Shyam Dattaram Dhonde and district functions operate in holding the joint direction of the Chief Executive Officer Ms. Tulika Creator Panchayat ,Creation of employment day and payment of wages are constantly being reviewed. As a result, the real objectives of MGNREGA are also being achieved on the physical plane.
