Raipur. 4 February 2021.  Panchayat and Rural Development Minister  T.S. Singhdev and Scheduled Caste , Tribe , Other Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam today formulate rules to implement the ‘ PESA ‘ (PESA – Panchayatiraj Extension in Scheduled Areas) Act in the state, organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Attended the workshop. Today was the last day of the workshop organized from February 1 at Thakur Pyarelal State Panchayat and Rural Development Institute Nimora . Come from all over the country, subject matter experts , tribal representatives , non-governmental organizations and departmental officials detail Panchayat provision (Scheduled Areas) Act , 1996 (PESA) in Chhattisgarh deliberated to formulate rules and gave their suggestions. Parliamentary Adviser to the Chief Minister, Mr. Rajesh Tiwari , former Union Minister Mr. Arvind Netam , former MLA Mr. Manish Kunjam , Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. Prasanna R. , Director of Panchayat Department, Mr. Mohammad Kaiser Abdul Haq and Director of State Panchayat and Rural Development Institute, Mr. P.C. Mishra also attended the workshop.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Singhdev is constantly discussing with the representatives of tribal society , subject matter experts and representatives of civil society working in the forest areas , to make effective rules for implementation in accordance with the basic spirit of ‘ Pesa ‘ in the state . He has visited various remote tribal areas of the state and interacted with people at field level. On the last day of the workshop, the draft of the rules of ‘ PESA ‘ law prepared on the basis of discussions held for three days and suggestions received were discussed point- wise in the presence of Mr. Singhdev and Mr. Tekam.

In various sessions of the workshop, participants from all over the country gave their views on many topics including land , water resources , excise , forest and minor minerals in ‘ PESA ‘ areas . Based on grams of composition and formation of new Gram Panchayat limits , village structure and their number , village executive committee , village chairman and secretary , village office , village decision-making practices of the House , Village House meetings , women meeting , including the Village of the House of meetings ‘ Money ‘Several important points of the discussion were discussed in detail. G composition of the House committees and task , parallel bodies , village objected to the decision of the Assembly , a joint meeting of more than a village , the village follow the duty of concerned about the House , village funds , such as land management and land acquisition ‘ Money ‘ Workshop on the laws of law was also churned.
