Raipur: Rubbed by women leading to Swavalamban, Chief Minister encouraged, said ‘women are writing a new chapter of women empowerment’

‘Udaan’ Bihan Aajeevika Kendra reached Chikhalputi, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 27 January 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached ‘Udaan’ Bihan Aajeevika Kendra during his two-day stay in Kondagaon district today. In this livelihood center located in Chikhalputi, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel encouraged women by making strong strides in various livelihood activities and said that financially empowered women, Strong is the symbol of Chhattisgarh. Self-sufficient women act to inspire not only the family but also other sections of society. Giving examples, he said that the government is distributing eggs under mid-day meal in Anganwadi and schools. If women take the responsibility of distributing eggs at the local level by following the poultry, then surely we will not need to order eggs from other state. He said that Gothan is being developed as a livelihood center by the government. Due to which all livelihood resources will be operated at one place.

 

It is noteworthy that 43 women have been associated with activities like bakery biscuits, paper plates, incense sticks, processed coconut oil, spices manufacturing and tikur processing at Chikhalputi Udaan Bihaan Aajeevika Kendra. On the occasion, the Director of the Center, Ms. Hemlata Gajbhiye, apprised the Chief Minister about the various livelihood activities conducted in the Center and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the women of various self-help groups at Udaan Bihan Livelihood Center. During the discussion, the women asked Chief Minister Mr. Baghel to build a tree guard, Having made aware of the problems related to fisheries, he asked for his need. On this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, while talking about working unitedly for women, took a closer look at the various activities conducted in the center and took his information. At the conclusion of the program, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also presented a bundle of various types of materials produced by all the women of the Center. On this occasion, Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister and Minister in-charge of the district, Guru Rudrakumar, Minister of Excise and Industry, Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, MP Deepak Badge, Kondagaon MLA Mr. Mohan Markam, Bastar Development Authority Chairman Mr. Lakheswar Baghel, Zila Panchayat CEO Mr. DN Kashyap and other public representatives and officer-employees were present.
