Raipur: Gauthans are becoming centers of rural livelihood: women leading to self-sufficiency

Raipur 24 January 2021. In Chhattisgarh, now Gothan are becoming a means of livelihood for the villagers. Spread over an area of ​​35 acres in Bilaspur district, Adarsh ​​Gram Gauthan Cellar has now developed into a rural industrial center for the development and livelihood of the villagers. Women are now moving towards self-sufficiency in Sailor Gram Panchayat in Bilha, a development block 18 km from Bilaspur district headquarters. Women, who were once confined to the boundary walls of the house, are becoming financially strong and making their presence felt on every front.

 

11 women self-help have been linked to economic activities under Suraji village scheme in Sailor Gauthan. Here, duck rearing and green fodder production is being done by Maharani Laxmibai Self Help Group. There are ten women in this group. The Chairman is Mrs. Rajkumar Sahu. The group is estimated to have an income of about 20 thousand rupees per month. A contract has been signed for the purchase of eggs from the cooperative society at Patarkoni Gorella. Construction of both the plates is being done by Shiv Shakti Self Help Group. The group is estimated to manufacture 366000 both per month.

 

Mushroom Production by Jagriti Group – The 11-member group is headed by Smt Ganga Devi Suryavanshi. Income of Rs 8 thousand per month is estimated by producing 75 kg of mushrooms by them.

Fisheries – The Kalika Fishermen Self Help Group has estimated an annual income of about three lakh rupees by producing 30 quintals of annual fish.

Vermi Compost and Vermi Wash Production – 20 quintal vermi compost and 27 liter vermi wash have been produced by the Gwalpal Women’s Self Help Group.

Poultry – Poultry farming is being done by women of Jayamata Sarai Shringar Self Help Group. This will give them an estimated income of Rs 30 thousand per month.

Gobar Gas Plant- 15 women of gas are being produced under the Gobar Dhan Yojana by 10 women of Sakhi-Saheli group.

Goat rearing – Goat rearing is being done by the Gwalpal women group. It is estimated that 03 lakh annual age.

Bari Development and Vegetable Production – The work of bari development and vegetable production by Aarti Group and Jai Maa Kalika Group is being done in Sailor Gauthan. Vegetables and vegetables like tomato, cabbage, brinjal, radish, spinach, red bhaji, cucumber, cucumber and fenugreek have been planted in the garden. From their production, the groups will get income of about 15 thousand rupees per month.

With the Suraji village scheme launched by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, villagers have got a new means of livelihood in the Gram Panchayat Cellar. The women of the village do not get tired of thanking the government that their life has changed with this scheme.
