More than 57 thousand landless farmers among 1.45 lakh beneficiaries of Godan Nyaya Yojana
Raipur, 20 January 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has made products being prepared by women groups in Gauthans, products made by processing of minor forest produce by groups of forest areas such as honey, vanaushadhi, artifacts of Bastar craft, handloom textiles, Kosa textiles, urban Instructions have been given to start “CG Mart” in the areas to make it available for sale under one roof. He said that women’s products should be sold in CG Mart and they should benefit from it. He said that CG mart should be started first at the capital Raipur, then at the divisional and district level. He said that oil from mustard, linseed, rye, etc. should also be put up for sale in the CG Mart. It is noteworthy that the state government has recently decided to set up the Telghani Board.
The Chief Minister was addressing the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana after the transfer of the eleventh and twelfth installment amount in a ceremony held at his residence office. He gave Rs. 4.51 crores as the eleventh installment to the dung vendors from 16th to 31st December and Rs. 3.02 crores from 12th January to 15th January as the twelfth installment, thus totaling Rs. 7.53 crores to the accounts of the dung sellers Transferred to online. With this, an amount of Rs 71 crore 72 lakh has been given to farmers and livestock farmers under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

Geeta, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. S.K. Patil and Total Secretary Mr. Prabhakar Singh were present.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that out of the beneficiaries benefiting from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, more than 57 thousand beneficiaries are landless farmers. Those who have got a good means of income from the sale of cow dung. According to the concept of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, justice has been given to the landless and landless. So far, 35 lakh 86 thousand quintal cow dung has been purchased under this scheme. He said that a large number of people are getting employment opportunities through the Gothans being developed under the state government’s ambitious Suraji village scheme Narva, Garwa, Ghuruva, Bari. There are 3 thousand 851 active Gothans in the state, in which women self-help groups of women are preparing vermi compost from cow dung. There are about 10 women in a group, in this way only 38 thousand 510 women have got income from Vermi Compost.
The Chief Minister said that 8 thousand 800 women have got employment in community enclosure. The women group is engaged in various economic activities including mushroom products in 150 Gothans, fisheries in 238 Gothans, goat rearing in 210 Gothans, poultry farming in 395 Gothans and in 618 Gothans of cow dung, Gamla, Agarbatti. According to an estimate in these activities, more than 60 thousand women have got direct employment and by getting more Gothans active, lakhs of people will get employment opportunities. He said that the women of the group are doing sewing and sandal making in Korea, Balrampur and Dantewada. In Gorella-Pandra-Marwahi, rice is being made from Dheki, which is being sold at the rate of Rs. 100 per kg.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that it has been five months since Godhan Nyaya Yojana has been started, discussions of Godhan Nyaya Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana are being held all over the country. He said that 01 lakh 45 thousand Gopalakas are getting the benefit of Godhan Nyaya Scheme. The appearance of cows on the streets has reduced significantly. He said that it is the effort of the state government that the economic activities in the Gauthans continue continuously, so that the Gauthans remain alive. A number of activities are being carried out through women’s groups in Gowthan by linking with Aajeevika Mission.
Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. M. Geeta informed about the progress of Godan Nyaya Yojana. He said that in the near future, vermi compost prepared by women self-help groups will be made available for sale in the open market. The number of laboratories for testing samples of vermi compost has increased from one to seven in the state. Two laboratories have been started in Raipur, one each in Durg-Bilaspur, Surguja, Bastar and Raigarh.
