Raipur, 14 January 2021. With the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, free treatment has been made for poor families living in slum areas of urban areas. Through the Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, the mobile medical unit is treating people by reaching different wards of 14 municipal corporation areas of the state. So far, a camp has been organized in 14 municipal corporations of the state by mobile medical units at 2823 places. Through these camps, health checkup of one lakh 54 thousand 616 patients, lab test of 40 thousand 634 patients, distribution of medicine to one lakh 33 thousand 223 patients has been done. The maximum number of camps has been set up at 792 in Raipur Municipal Corporation, 306 in Korba, 230 in Bilaspur, 223-223 in Rajnandgaon and Durg.
Under this scheme, health check up, treatment, drug distribution and health counseling facilities are being provided free of cost to the residents of the slum area. The unit has OPD, drug delivery along with laboratory tests and 41 types of health checkups available in the lab.
So far 792 Camps have been set up in Raipur Municipal Corporation by Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). Where 41 thousand 226 patients have benefited. 17 thousand 794 patients have been benefited in 230 camps in Bilaspur. 12 thousand 89 in Durg, 15 thousand 409 in Korba, 10 thousand 277 patients in Rajnandgaon and 10 thousand 419 in Bhilai, 9 thousand 543 patients in Raigad have been benefited.
Similarly, 4 thousand 698 in 82 camps set up in the urban body area Birgaon, 5 thousand 324 in 88 camps organized in Dhamtari, 5 thousand 512 in 109 camps in Risali, 5 thousand 695 in 111 camps in Bhilai-Charauda, 110 camps in Ambikapur. In 6 thousand 854, 2 thousand 989 in 52 camps in Chirmiri and 6 thousand 787 patients in 158 camps held in Jagdalpur have benefited.
