    Raipur, 10 January 2021.  During the two-day visit to Bijapur, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited the departmental exhibition organized by various departments of the government in the General Assembly venue of Mini Stadium and distributed materials to the beneficiaries benefited under various schemes. The Chief Minister provided tractors and other agricultural implements including grants on grants-in-aid to Jai Maa Daroli Self-Help Group of Jarapalli and Kotapala Self-Help Group under the scheme operated by the Department of Agriculture. Agricultural equipment worth Rs 10 lakh each was provided to both self-help groups at a contribution of Rs 2 lakh each, which includes a 45 HP tractor, seed drill, sprayer, reaper and thresher.

    The Chief Minister visited the exhibition organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra for local varieties of paddy. Officials of Krishi Vigyan Kendra informed the Chief Minister about the efforts being made to register local varieties of paddy. He informed that about 260 varieties have been sent for registration. Information was also given regarding scalp processing. Department officials said that one lakh saplings of mango, jackfruit, papaya, sitaphal, gooseberry guava etc. and nursery plants of different varieties of vegetable have been provided.

Dhanalakshmi will run e-rickshaw

    Dhanalakshmi of Kottapalli of Pamgal Panchayat, a village located in a remote area of ​​Bijapur, is now emboldened and confident. This woman living in remote Vananchal is fully geared up to fulfill her family’s dream of economic prosperity. Dhanalakshmi told that her family owns only two acres of land. The family consists of father-in-law, husband and two children. It was very difficult to raise all these in such a low income. There was also a sense of saving for the bright future of children. It was in this spirit that she joined the self-help group. Fortunately, by joining this self-help group, she has now also become the owner of an e-rickshaw. Dhanalakshmi told that she will run this e-rickshaw from Kottapalli to Maddade.
