Raipur, 08 January 2021. Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh Government and Secretary in-charge of Janjgir-Champa district, Mr. Dhananjay Dewangan inspected the Pendri Paddy Procurement Center today. The Secretary in-charge instructed to keep the purchased paddy in the Pendry Paddy Procurement Center systematically and make proper arrangements for drainage. He said that first take up the paddy under the platform and in view of the possibility of unseasonal rain, arrange tarpaulin etc. to protect the acquired paddy from rain. He directed the nodal officer of the center to inspect the paddy procurement center regularly. Shri Dewangan said that tokens should be issued in proportion of 80 percent small farmers and 20 percent large farmers. Collector Mr. Yashwant Kumar, District Panchayat CEO and officials of concerned departments were present during the inspection.
The in-charge secretary also inspected the Gauthan at village Khokhra in Janjgir-Champa district. Discussed with the officials of the self-help group associated with Gothan. He said that the objective of the government is to link women belonging to self-help groups in employment and to make them financially competent. They also produced material prepared by self-help groups, produced vegetables, mushrooms, Vermi compost inspected manure. Talking to women, he gave information about the Chief Minister’s Suraksha Abhiyan. He pledged to all the women to extend all possible support for providing nutritious food to the pregnant women of the family. Pregnant women should be fed first at meals every day. Shri Dewangan asked the medical officers of the Livestock Development Department to keep a constant watch on the health of the animals coming to Gowthan and make arrangements for treatment as per need. The Secretary in-charge also gave instructions to the officers of the Livestock Development Department to ensure 100 percent target of artificial insemination and vaccination.
