Raipur, 07 January 2021.  Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the city of religion is not only a city, but it is a symbol of the culture of the entire Chhattisgarh. He said that here not only is the confluence of three rivers, but there is also a cultural confluence. People from all over Chhattisgarh as well as Odisha, Maharashtra also reach Rajim.

 

Mr. Baghel said this at the Jayanti Festival of Bhakti Mahtari Rajim Dai organized by Sahu Samaj in Rajim today. He said that Rajim has a history of hundreds of years. It is a symbol of our culture. He informed that 54 acres of land has been identified for the new fair venue by the district administration to organize the Rajim Mela systematically. It also includes some private land, about which consent has been obtained from the land-owning farmers. He said that all necessary arrangements and construction will be made at the identified site keeping in mind the inconvenience caused to the saints, government employees and other people coming from outside during the Rajim Mela. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for this. The shanty-fairs are associated with our identity. Shri Baghel expressed regret that there was no space left for the fair today at Mahadev Ghat, such a condition would not be allowed to be built in Rajim.

 

The Chief Minister announced that the newly constructed Community Health Center in Fingeshwar will be named after Bhakti Mahtari Rajim Dai. He also announced approval of Rs 50 lakh for the under construction Dharamshala in Rajim and five acres of land for the Rajim Mata Research Institute. He said that in order to maintain its cultural identity, the Chhattisgarh government has announced public holidays on Teej-festivals like Teeja-Pora, Karma Jayanti, Hareli, World Tribal Day and Chhath. Today, Chhattisgarh has its own national song, any program is started from here.

 

Mr. Baghel said that the economy of Chhattisgarh state is working with priority for health, education and culture. Farm and livestock have always been the strength of the farmer, but the systems had fallen in between. Today the rural economy is being strengthened again by the schemes of governance. Under Godan Nyaya Yojana, the government is procuring cow dung for 2 rupees. Earlier people used to buy motorcycles by selling paddy, now they also buy by selling cow dung. Baghel said that every possible effort is being made by the government to arrange gunny bags for the purchase of paddy. He said that this year the construction of gunny bags of jute was affected due to Corona crisis, that is why Chhattisgarh had asked for only 3.5 lakh bales of gunny bags from the Jute Commissioner, But he said that only 1 lakh 45 thousand bails can be given. Out of this, Chhattisgarh has so far received only 1 lakh 05 thousand gunny bags. Chhattisgarh has purchased 70 thousand bales of plastic bags to keep the paddy procurement system going smoothly. Apart from this, sacks are also being arranged from rice millers, societies and farmers. The Chief Minister said that on January 03, the Center has allowed FCI to take 24 lakh tonnes of rice from Chhattisgarh, although 60 lakh tonnes have been agreed with the Center. Mr. Baghel wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state by first reaching the venue of the state Sahu Sangh at the Rajim Mela venue, worshiping and garlanding Mother Rajim.
