Panchayat and Rural Development Department’s division level review meeting concluded
Ambikapur 4 January 2021. Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Shri T.S. A division-level review meeting of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department was held here today at the Zilla Panchayat Sabha room under the chairmanship of Singhdev. The meeting was attended by panchayat department plans , MGNREGA , cattle Justice Planning , Clean India Mission , Selarm , scaffold construction , Indira Awas Yojana , Nrwa development , new village construction, etc. were discussed at length-wise implementation status.
Panchayat Minister Mr. Singhdev said that the schemes run by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department are the ones that give direction to the rural economy and social condition. Strengthen their status by bringing these schemes to the last person of the society. Money should reach the pockets of the targeted persons. He said that MGNREGA played an important role in generating employment during the Corona period. The workers returned from other provinces were provided employment keeping in mind the Corona caution. Perform similar tasks further and provide employment to villagers. He said that banking services have reached the village through the Bank Sakhi concept. Along with this, bank associates have also got employment. Bank associates have gone door-to-door to pay pensions and wages at the time of lockdown. At the same time, MNREGA reached the workplace and paid relief to the workers by paying their wages. Mr. Singhdev said that the villagers
Shri Singhdev said that under the MNREGA, increase the active job card and ensure active participation of women in 100 man days. He said to encourage sarpanch , secretary and employment assistant in the village to provide employment under MNREGA to the beneficiaries of forest rights. He said that MNREGA laborers should be paid time-bound wages. There should be no negligence in payment of wages. Reviewing the construction of Gothan, Mr. Singhdev said that every district should complete the construction within the time-limit as per the set target. Also bring progress in Gothanas constructed by the Forest Department under the recurring grazing scheme .
Minister Mr. Singhdev expressed happiness over the 100 percent performance of Sarguja district in the progress of construction of new Gram Panchayat building , new platform . Reviewing the works of Narva development, he said that Narwa development works will play an important role in increasing the area of irrigation by water harvesting. He directed to speed up Narva development work in all districts of the division.
