Dhamtari 29 December 2020. Under the government’s ambitious scheme Suraji Gaon Yojana (Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari), farmers in the district are donating the paras left in the fields after harvesting to the Gothans, leading to the collection of dry fodder. So far, 1041.52 tonnes of para have been collected in 157 Gothans of the district and farmers are continuously coming forward to offer parades.
Farmers in the Gothans of the district are busy these days. When green fodder is not available in summer season, dry fodder is the main food of animals. In search of fodder, the cattle do not have to wander around, so to ensure availability of dry fodder in the Gothans, the district administration is encouraging the farmers to donate, as well as explain it by the plains staff of the Agriculture Department. Has been Deputy Director Agriculture informed that a total of 280 Gowthans have been approved in the district in which farmers are being encouraged through the women of Panchayat representatives, departmental staff, Panchayat Secretary, Green Army, Self Help Groups, to provide a fodder for fodder storage. As a result, parades have been completed in 157 Gothans of the district and its storage is being done. He said that so far, 495 tonnes in the development block city, 491 tonnes in Magarlod, 41.44 tonnes in Dhamtari and 14 in Kurud development block. 08 tonnes have been received under paradan, which has been transported through tractors from the field or barn to the Gothans. Bundling of paras received by the Department of Agriculture from the Baler Machine is being done in a safe and orderly manner. Farmer Mr. Tiratharam Yadav of village Bodra (Sambalpur) in Gowthan of Dhamtari development block gave four tons of parades. Similarly, Shri Chetanlal, a farmer of village Baliara (Bodra), provided 5 tonnes, five tonnes by Jai Ambe Ma Self Help Group Khartuli, four tonnes by Navjyoti Mahila Group Parasarai. Similarly, 22 tonnes of paras have been donated by the farmers of the village Shri Ganesharam, Shriram, Mannuram, Ghasiaram in Jai Bhukharradev Gowthan Tangapani of Nagari Development Block. Apart from this, 40 tonnes of parades were provided by Shri Hiraram, Amritlal, Manaklal, Ghasiram, Komal Singh of village Saraitola. Which has been transported by tractor from the field or barn to the Gothans. These farmers said that after harvesting from the harvester, the para remains in the fields, which the cattle do not eat. These legs can be cut from the pomp and converted into better fodder. He said that his own cow and bulls will get plenty of fodder in the summer season with the help of parades and there are many more benefits. The evil practice of burning crop residues in the fields will also be curbed to a great extent. Appreciating Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel’s Narva, Garuva, Ghurwa, Bari scheme, these farmers said that the said scheme of the government has been very successful, which will have far-reaching and positive results soon.
