Raipur, 23 December 2020. The Chhattisgarh government has granted forest rights pattas under the Forest Rights Act to the landless people living near them under the Forest Rights Act. One such beneficiary, Shri Lallu Ram, father of Gondila, a resident of Katra, a village panchayat of Marwahi district of Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi district, who was completely landless and extremely poor and lived in a broken hut. Lallu Ram says that I did not have any source of income and I was a landless laborer and was living my family by working with others. It is good for the government that under the Forest Rights Act, I was granted a personal lease of 2.19 acres of land. The well was constructed under the government’s Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. I am producing crops by cultivating vegetables and vegetables. It has earned me 2 lakh so far. Now I and my family are happy.
